I Am Alive But Am I Healthy?
(Romans 6:1-14)
When I choose to believe in and belong to Christ I am spiritually alive.
- My new life includes a new heart
Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
- My new life includes a new attitude
Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
- My new life includes a new song
Psalm 40:4 (NIV) Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
- My new life includes a new name
Rev. 2:17 (NIV) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
- My new life includes a new creation
2 Cor. 5:17-18 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! [18] All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
To stay healthy in my life with Christ I must be willing to confess. (v. 8-14)
- I confess I am dead to sin
- I confess sin will not control me
- I confess I am surrendered to God
- I confess I shall live under grace
