Where Worship Begins
(Romans 12:1-2)
Romans 12: 1-2 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship. [2] Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
MAKE A SACRIFICE TO GOD
- A permanent sacrifice
- A personal sacrifice
- A physical sacrifice
- A practical sacrifice
- Would you die for Jesus
- Would you live for Jesus
MAINTAIN SEPARATION FROM THE WORLD
- The world wants to shape you into its image (1 John 2:17)
- God has already given you a SHAPE.
* S = spiritual gift
* H = heart/passion
* A = ability/skill
* P = personality
* E = experiences
- God wants you to think differently (1 Corinthians 13:11)
REPENT: a change of mind leads to a change of conduct
